Sometimes there’s nothing better than time spent relaxing with fellow paddlers at the local canoe club. Last night was a case in point: some twenty of us enjoying Marlow weir in the evening sunshine, practising breaking in and out, ferry gliding, stern dips, cartwheels and other moving water skills. And of course, we had to shoot the weir first. I was lucky to catch this shot of one of the club members tackling this straightforward, but for newcomers sometimes intimidating, feature. Being part of a good, supportive club is one of the best ways of developing one’s paddling skills and highly recommended!
